How to do email marketing

In one word, or three words rather - Cliffhanger Subject Lines. Here are some short examples to give you the basic idea:

(Time sensitive) Then she said to...

(Alert) Not many people know this, but...

(Important notice) If you aren't already, you...

(Free for now) Are you ready to actually...

The point is to literally leave your potential customer hanging and curious so they MUST open your email to get the punch line. The initial subject line must not be a complete sentence, or more importantly, a complete thought. Otherwise there would be no reason for your prospect to open the email.

Example 1:

This is the coolest source for fast traffic I have ever discovered.

Subject Line

This is the coolest source for fast traffic...

Body:

I have ever discovered.

In the above example, all the beans have been spilled in the subject line. Your prospect already knows what your email is about, and even though we are all looking for great traffic sources, if your prospect isn't interested in that, they would have no reason to open the email.

Example 2:

This is the coolest source for fast traffic I have ever discovered.

Subject Line

This is the...

Body:

coolest source for fast traffic I have ever discovered.

Now in this example, your prospect is still wondering what your email might be about. Their curiosity is piqued and they are compelled to open it and see what there may be for them. Remember - the sole purpose of a subject line is to get your email opened. Leave them hanging and keep them wondering!

How to Increase Your Clicks Instantly

So now that people are actually opening your messages, how do you get them to click on your landing page link?

Keep your messages SHORT.

For Example:

Hey Fred, just wanted to show you something amazing real quick.

Just checked it out myself and, wow:

LINK

What do you think?

Jim

These days everyone wants everything instantaneously. They want to see want you got, and then be on their way. If they see several paragraphs of information, even good information, they are more than likely not to bother looking it over.

What's more, if they do happen to read the message, if it contains all the info that you want them to see on your lading page, they most likely will have no reason to go to your landing page.

So keep it short, and compelling. Keep them wondering what great deal you have waiting for them. Get them into you email massage, and then immediately to your fantastic landing page.

Another Way to Increase Clicks and Sales

Your cliffhanger subject lines are getting your emails opened 3 times as often; and your short messages have greatly increased your links being clicked on. Another great way to increase your clicks and sales is to add a

Tiny Video Message!

In this day and age a video goes over much better than a written message. People would much rather watch a short video the read a bunch of copy. It's so much easier, and lazyer. Here are some pointers to keep in mind when creating your video message:

Keep it short - one minute to 2 minutes max.
Keep it simple - the more "professional or slickly produced" it looks, the less effective it is.
Keep it natural - just you (a normal guy or gal) in your casual clothes sharing a tip with a friend.
Keep it clear - tell them what you have; what it will do for them; and what you want them to do next.
We all want things clear and simple, and quick. Make it as easy as possible for your prospects to take advantage of what you have for them!
